The Team

My name is Leanne Miller and I assist Catherine in her classes as well as run  Puppy School classes, Puppy Power and Explorer.

I have a keen interest in all aspects of animal behaviour and enjoy researching canine psychology, especially how breeds and individuals are motivated in different ways to learn.

I have a Degree in Applied Animal Management and I am a fully qualified  Puppy School Tutor and run classes in the Glastonbury/Street area.

I have a Level 3 Animal Management qualification and have been working alongside Catherine since 2013 as her assistant. I have completed the Puppy School training course with Gwen Bailey and I run a pet service business where I offer walking, 1:1 training sessions and look after a variety of species.  I have  a great interest in the rate at which behaviour problems can be managed in the home environment.

I run the Puppy Pow Wow Sessions and instruct Puppy School classes in Bridgwater. Outside of training classes I tajke my own dog to the agility sessions which we have found a lot of fun to learn something new and challenging!

I am a qualified Puppy School tutor running puppy and dog training classes in Yeovil. As well as my Yeovil classes I also host some of Catherine’s classes in Bridgwater and run my own dog walking business BigDog Little Dog. I have 3 qualifications in Animal Management and have been teaching students who study at Bridgwater College for 16 years. In that time I have had the privilege of working with, and caring for, a wide range of animal species including primates, elephants, reptiles and big cats. However my real passion has always been for dogs, and having worked in kennels and rescue centres I have always had a keen interest in their behaviour and training.

I enjoy attending agility classes with one of my dogs and I am currently learning to do Rally obedience so that my other dog also has a sporting activity to get her teeth into!

Hello, My name is Kelly Wadley. I have been working alongside Catherine for two years, assisting with puppy classes and also adult dog agility and soon will be tutoring my own classes in the Brean/Burnham area on her behalf.

I have two dogs, a Pug x Pomeranian aged three and a rescue Mastiff x aged eighteen months. I studied criminology at Cardiff university, focusing on animal welfare and completed my dissertation on 'status/weapon' dogs. I currently work as a surgery assistant in an small animal referral hospital and prior to this spent two years working at the RSPCA.

After completing a degree in Applied Animal Management, I set up a pet services business where I offer dog walking, pet sitting and 1:1 dog training sessions. Part of my work involves working with show dogs where I am responsible for training the dogs in preparation for the show ring.  Last year I began writing for a national magazine, writing articles on dog matters such as socialising, enrichment and training. When possible I attend workshops and conferences to gain further skills and knowledge including completing the Puppy School course.  I have a particular interest in how genetics effects behaviour as well as the benefits early socialisation can have on a puppy. I have been lucky enough to learn so much by owning Blaze, my Labrador, who has had a spinal condition since a young puppy. Although it hasn’t always affected his daily life, I have learnt so much about how medical conditions can have an impact on daily life and change a dogs behaviour.
